FANS OF DMTV's slightly successful sci-fi smash Professor What have been dismayed by the announcement that current Professor Roger the Lodger is to leave the show at the end of the next series.

Lodger, who used to be in that fondly remembered eighties sitcom No Place Like Home, has been widely regarded as the most popular actor to play the part of The Professor since the last one.

The previous actors to play the role were:
