Weald and Downland

Nothing to do with Des and Mick!

The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton, West Sussex, was launched in 1967. It rescues historic buildings from around the South East threatened with demolition, dismantling them and rebuilding them in their original form at the museum in a sympathetic environment.

The grounds cover 50 acres, and now contains nearly 50 exhibits dating from the 13th to the 19th century. For more information, please visit the museum's own website.

The twelve photographs in this gallery date from 1988. They were taken using a 35mm camera.
